MOTORS TV:
OFFICIAL TV PARTNER TO AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL SHOW
Autosport International is the world’s premier motorsport exhibition,
acting as the gateway to a brand new season of motor racing action, and
Motors TV will be there to provide exclusive coverage of the event. In
two special programmes, showing at 9pm on Sunday 20th and
Sunday 27th January, Motors TV will get behind the scenes to
bring viewers all the latest news from the NEC in Birmingham.
This year Motors TV will also be offering fans the opportunity to win
VIP passes to a number of high profile race meetings in both the UK and
abroad! Every other hour on the Saturday and Sunday of the show, the
‘High Speed Television’ channel will be organising a prize draw at their
stand (n°8205 in Hall 8), with the lucky winners set to collect
prizes which include VIP packages for the French GP, DTM and BTCC at
Brands Hatch, Le Mans Series at Silverstone as well as British F3 / GT
weekends.
Autosport International is one of the very few events in the motor
racing calendar where fans can get close to their favourite drivers and
other motorsport celebrities. Mark Webber, Allan McNish, Andy Priaulx,
Damon Hill, David Brabham, Gary Paffett, Jason Plato, Johnny Herbert and
David Coulthard are just some of the star names that will be present at
the show.
This year Motors TV will also feature coverage of Friday’s celebrity
kart race which will see professional drivers and celebs from the world
of entertainment racing for charity in the NEC’s purpose-built kart
track. The 1˝ hour race will see twenty teams of four drivers battling
for the honour of Autosport International Celebrity Kart Challenge
Champion and raising thousands of pounds for a variety of good causes.
Drivers from single-seaters, tin-tops and sportscars will take part,
including David Brabham, Allan McNish, Oliver Jarvis, Robbie Kerr, Adam
Carroll, Oliver Gavin, Johnny Herbert, Paul di Resta, Gary Paffett and
Jamie Green whilst Rick Parfitt (Status Quo) is among the celebrities
involved.
Meanwhile, situated within the largest hall of the NEC, the ‘Live Action
Arena’, which boasts its own paddock area and 5500-seat grandstand, will
allow the public to see an array of motor racing action with races and
demonstrations throughout the weekend.
The show opens to industry professionals on Thursday 10th and
Friday 11th and to the public on Saturday 12th and
Sunday 13th January.
