Alexander Rossi in 40 Seconds: From only 62 formula car starts to-date, 16-year old Alexander has netted 20 wins, 34 podiums and 22 poles. Multiple track records to his credit include; Miller Motorsports Park, Laguna Seca, Reno-Fernley, Sebring International, Portland International Raceway and Trois Rivieres. In the 2007 Formula BMW USA Championship, he finished 3^rd in overall in points with three wins, two 3rds and two 4^th place finishes. In 2006, he bested 59 of the nation’s top karters to become the youngest driver, at 14, to win the prestigious Skip Barber National Scholarship and a fully-funded season in the Skip Barber National Series. He finished 3^rd overall, winning the Western Region Championship and Rookie of the Year titles. Additionally, in 2006, he was the winner of the Pit Fit Scholarship. In 2005, he caught the attention of corporate giant Red Bull, finishing 3^rd overall from more than 1000 participants in the Red Bull F1 drivers search .In 2004, Alexander was an IKF National and Regional karting champion and the youngest driver, at 13, ever in the 2004 Red Bull F1 Driver Search. In 2003, he was a Jim Russell International Karting champion. Alexander has completed high school with a 4.0 GPA and is currently enrolled at Sierra College where he is pursuing his Associate Degree.

ALEXANDER ROSSI TEAMS WITH EUROINTERNATIONAL FOR

 2008 FORMULA BMW AMERICAS CHAMPIONSHIP 

Alexander Rossi will drive for Eurointernational in the 2008 Formula BMW Americas Championship, pairing the series’ top-returning American driver with the most successful team in series history. 

Rossi, 16, of Nevada City, California, finished third overall in the 2007 Formula BMW USA Championship (now renamed Formula BMW Americas). He won three of last season’s final six races; San Jose round 9, Road America round 11, and Mosport round 13, to become the series top-finishing American driver. Catching the attention of owner Antonio Ferrari, Rossi drove for Eurointernational in the 2007 Formula BMW World Final laying the foundation for what is expected to be one of the strongest driver-team pairings of the 2008 season. 

“Driving for Eurointernational is a great opportunity and a privilege given their credentials,” said Alexander Rossi. “Formula BMW is a very competitive series and I am proud to have finished third overall in my rookie season. I know Eurointernational is the team to help me become the first American to win the Formula BMW Americas Championship. I know what is expected of me and the team. Since entering Formula BMW in 2005, Eurointernational, based in Indianapolis, Indiana and San Pietro Mosezzo, Italy, has become the dominant team in the series. In three seasons of Formula BMW USA competition Eurointernational drivers have won a total of 15 races and scored 35 podiums. Eurointernational won consecutive Formula BMW USA Team titles in 2007 and 2006 while guiding Daniel Morad and Robert Wickens to the their respective Formula BMW USA Driver Championships.  

"Signing Alexander has been one of my top priorities since last season,” said Antonio Ferrari, owner of Eurointernational. “The bad luck at the 2007 Formula BMW World Final did not allow him to show his incredible abilities during his debut with our team, however we worked very well together. We have further elevated our team’s technical structure by adding a research and development program where Alexander will find the best support possible for his season and career. This year we are looking for our third Formula BMW title in a row with Alexander becoming the first American to win the Driver’s Championship. With our participation in both the 2008 Formula BMW Americas and Formula BMW Europe Championships Eurointernational is the only team in the world competing in two of the three Formula BMW Series.”  

The 2008 Formula BMW Americas Championship begins the weekend of May 16 -18^th  at Laguna Seca Raceway and includes races at the Canadian Grand Prix, Montreal with Formula One , Lime Rock Park, Road America and New Jersey Motorsports Park, before concluding at the Brazilian Grand Prix with Formula One in November.
