DONINGTON REVIVED! – September 3-4-5 This is building rapidly into a prestigious meeting in which the Masters Series will re-open the famous track after all its recent troubles. They are running races for GPM, WSM, SRM, Protos/Interserie, Over 2 litre Pre-66 Touring cars, Gent Drivers GT (split into 2 races at Over & Under 3 litres), and the Under 2-litre Touring with the Oldies. There is also a special grid, two 25 minutes races, to commemorate Donington’s original Opening Meeting in 1977. At present the Masters are looking for more 1970s GT and Touring cars of a ‘club racing type’ to join the regular Stars of the 70s grid and a selection of the Touring 70s. With plenty of entertainment planned off-track as well as on, a tour of the Collection, a charity Dinner on the Saturday evening, club displays, special on track displays and much more, entries are filling up fast so if you’re interested contact the Masters Office ASAP SPA 6 HOURS MEETING – September 24-25-26. The all-time favourite of so many racers. IAnyone who hasn’t been before, get your entry in before it’s too latet. The Masters will be there with GPM, WSM with SRM combined, and the Top Hat combined grid and a 2-hour Gentleman Drivers race as the meeting’s finale. The timetable is on the Masters Series website . PORTUGAL – THE ALGARVE CIRCUIT – October 15-16-17 Thre will be races for Protos/Interserie cars in 2 short races, WSM incl SRM, Gentleman Drivers and over 2-litre pre-66 Touring cars. SPAIN – MONTEBLANCO – October 21-22-23. Just 160 kms away from the Portimao circuit lies the hidden gem of Andalucia, the Monteblanco Circuit, an F1 test quality circuit, with excellent facilities, located just off the Huelva-to-Seville motorway. Masters are running races for GPM, WSM, SRM, Protos/Interserie, Touring Cars, and Gentleman Drivers. They also have special arrangements to look after trucks and cars at Monteblanco from the Monday after Algarve races, and an economic local hotel for the teams to relax in. The main event hotel has a golf course, nice pool, beach and more – check the website. You can set up at the track as from Wednesday 20th afternoon. Testing is available on the Thursday, Racing starts on Friday ending Saturday late afternoon. MALLORY PARK – Sunday 24 October The Top Hat season finale will take place at Mallory Park on Sunday 24th. It’s a regular action packed Top Hat day with 45-minute with pit stop races running throughout the day!
