DONINGTON APRIL 19/20 UPDATE - LAST FEW DAYS TO ENTER!

Only 2 weeks to go until the full Masters season kicks off at Donington over the weekend of April 19/20 for ‘Grande Passione’.  Being run in conjunction with the HGPCA, and with invited races from the Ferrari Owners Club, this 2nd Edition of the GP Euro Series is shaping up to be a truly enjoyable festival.  Of course, most of the grids are full already, but we do have a few slots available for those of you who haven't booked yet. 

Masters Test Day - Thursday 17th April – few spaces remaining!

Our ‘noisy’ Masters Test Day has just a few remaining spaces!  Running in sessions for single seaters, Sportscars, GT cars and Touring cars throughout the day it’s a great chance to get your car in fine fettle for the season ahead.  You don't need to be racing at the weekend to be at the Test Day, but if you are you can leave your cars in the paddock until race day begins!   At £295 per car, its great value for the track time available.  Book your last minute spaces using the downloadable series entry forms and tick the Test day boxes, find them at    www.themastersseries.com 

Track Day to 98db - Friday 18th April

Between our Masters Test Day, and the main 2 days of the “Grande Passione” race meeting, we have booked the circuit for a regular ‘Track Day’ for cars that can conform to strict 98 decibel noise regs.  Whether you are going racing that weekend, or testing with Masters on the Thursday, this is a great opportunity to get yourself, your partner or your work colleagues out on the Donington circuit – in a suitable car.   Priced at £250 plus VAT per car,  this bonus Track Day can help you learn the circuit or allow someone else to show you how it should be done. Note that we have Caterham and other cars to rent, instructors available.  Note: our own Claire Tippet will be instructing ‘Masters Ladies’ in small groups, so ladies, now is the moment - book your slot by calling this office today. 

Race Weekend Entry Update

It’s a packed programme throughout the Grande Passione weekend, full of old favourites and new arrivals!   Proto 70s and Under 2-litre Gentleman Drivers make their Masters UK debuts and, although the grids may not be full, we are hoping for some good racing and close battles as a sign of things to come.  If you haven't entered yet for these two new series - we are still counting on your support for these debut races! 

The Masters Serie are pleased to announce that World Sportscar Masters and Over 2-litre Gentleman Drivers are full and both promise to be really action-packed races.  The Gent Drivers in particular have the feature race on Saturday evening into the dusk – make sure your headlights are working! 

Grand Prix Masters is building up for a big year and will field a strong grid of F1 cars in this, their final race prior to the Monaco Historique in May – expect hot competition from these highly strung racers! 

With new cars, new races and new faces, you are going to need a really good excuse not to be racing there yourself!

Paddock Parking – want a space in Speed Street ?

For those of you who attended the GPE meeting last year, you will know that the main feature of the paddock was a tented area called ‘ Speed Street ’.  This tented area was allocated as paddock garaging for a selection of different racecars from each of the grids which were “owner-prepared”.  If you are interested in being allocated a space in Speed Street , we have the final 20 spaces now up for grabs.  Please send us an e-mail with your requirements so we can begin the selection process.  We do expect that all cars who garage themselves in the Speed Street tents, display historical information to inform the spectating public! 

Remember, if you are testing on 17th, expect to be reallocated space as we “build the stage set”, thank you 

Social Fun!

As a welcome to this meeting, Masters and HGPCA invite you to join us for a welcome drink on the Friday evening at 7pm to 8pm to start the weekend in style!  The Masters and HGPCA hospitality units will await you for what should be a relaxed evening 

You are also invited to join in the main event “Grande Passione” dinner on Saturday evening. Dinner will be served in the centrally located Paddock Suite, transformed into a relaxed “Italian banquet” environment.  Tickets are £60 per person (inclusive of 3 course dinner, all your wine and coffee, and VAT). Places are bookable from today, by emailing your ticket requirement to team@themastersseries.com
