New Interactive Destination allows Racing Fans Worldwide to Control their Viewing Experience Online

MediaZone, a leading global online broadcaster, in partnership with IndyCar Series, ESPN and SportVision today announced IndyCar Race Control, a new online portal offering LIVE coverage worldwide of the 2008 IndyCar Series race season, the leading open wheel series in North America. The partnership brings together industry leaders in their own right to offer the most interactive way to experience IndyCar racing with customizable features for race enthusiasts around the world.

The All Access Pass will include 15 races from 2008 IndyCar Race Control LIVE featuring in-car cams and telemetry, including this year’s 92nd Indianapolis 500 plus 28 total races from the main race feed On Demand covering the 2007 & 2008 IndyCar Series season.

"Coverage of the 2008 IndyCar Series season through the new IndyCar Race Control promises to be one of the most dynamic and interactive viewing experience ever offered online," said Chris Ott, vice president of sports division for MediaZone. “By combining the resources and expertise of our partners, fans can experience a cutting edge broadcast online. With the inclusion of in-car views of select drivers for each race and telemetry features, IndyCar Race Control allows viewers to feel as if they are experiencing the race firsthand.”

Beyond simply streaming races online, IndyCar Race Control takes the broadcasts a step further, allowing fans to get the total racing experience all in one place. For LIVE events fans can select and switch in-car cam views while simultaneously analyzing top drivers throughout the race, reading the latest blogs from IndyCar Series drivers and teams, and following the latest IndyCar Series news as the race heats up all in one destination. In total, the offering includes:

·                                 4 Driver-Dedicated In-Car Cams: Offering a firsthand view from the driver’s seat;

·                                 The Honda Leader Cam: Tracks the driver in the lead throughout the race in real time;

Fans will be in the driver’s seat with cockpit views, dashboard analytics, access to driver brake and throttle indicators, and complete performance analysis between any two drivers in the field.
“The 2008 season hits another innovation milestone with the launch of a new IndyCar Series fan interaction element -- IndyCar Race Control,” said John Lewis, vice president of marketing and league development for the Indy Racing League, sanctioning body of the IndyCar Series and Indy Pro Series. “This tool immerses fans into high resolution in-car cameras that pan a full 360 degrees -- the first of its kind for any sport. IndyCar Race Control is yet another extension of the innovation initiative of the IndyCar Series.”
