Continued from News: mail your news to editorthegrid@yahoo.co.uk TOP HAT SERIES Mallory Park 15-16 Sept The Masters Top Hat hospitality centre will be set up in the Paddock serving a full lunch and all day refreshments to drivers and guests throughout Sunday, which provides a great environment in which to sit down and relive your racing corner by corner with your fellow drivers and friends.
MEETING UPDATE: TOP HAT ( 1 or 2-driver teams, 2 x 30-mins races) With a new format at Mallory of two 30 minute races to give both drivers a full crack of the whip, the fast sweeps along with the demanding Esses and hairpin of Mallory should level the playing field between the big V8's and smaller Alfa's, BMW's and Cortina's amongst others.
CLOTH CAP (1 or 2-driver teams , 1 x 45-mins race) So far this season, we have seen some great racing in Cloth Cap, and we're looking forward to another gripping mini-enduro race at Mallory. More entries are needed for this one so call the office ASAP!
OLDIES BUT GOLDIES (1 or 2-driver teams , 45-mins race) Mallory has brought some new and old faces out to compete, with the best entry grid of the meeting so far. The sights and sounds of these popular 1950's racers, performing on a circuit that hosted them in period, should provide a great spectacle at this meeting.
STARS OF THE '70s (1 driver. 30-mins race) Combining the Groovy Baby and Best of British grids, Stars of the 70s offers an invitation to Group 2 Touring Cars of the ‘70s for a taster at Mallory, which will give an interesting medley of the Gp.1 and Gp. 2 cars. This evocative mix should provide some thrilling entertainment!
ALLCOMERS (1 or 2-driver teams. 45-mins race) A mixed bag of fun for one and two driver teams offering a second race to those with the stamina! I will be taking entries on the day but of course you will need to get out and qualify in the last practice session before lunch. As a second race for the day you can make the most of a £100 discount on the entry fee giving you an additional 70 minutes of track time for just £295!
