"To have this car and the determination from the crew today, we had a flat tire early and we bounced back from that. I am so happy to have a chance to drive this car. "We had to muscle past Matt Kenseth; he's a good friend of mine. Sorry Matt, he'll be OK with it."Needles to say Kenseth wasn't as the move not only cost him victory but also second place when Kevin Harvick sneaked by as well. Kenseth clearly wasn’t amused and in his efforts to stay in the hunt after his ‘tap’ he unfortunatley removed Jeff Gordon from fourth. Kenseth tried to apologise but he was angrily rebuffed.. "The end wasn't that good, but overall it was a good day for us," said Kenseth. "I got into Gordon there in the end and I didn't mean too although everyone thinks I did.I should have known better than to go over there, I just wanted to be a man and apologize. I really didn't mean it but I don't know if he's going to believe that." The incident with Busch however was another matter and Kenseth was clearly seething,"I wouldn't have done that to him. I wouldn't have been able to be smiling in Victory Lane and take that trophy home and be able to sleep tonight." I had numerous options available to me for the 2006 season but I preferred to take the new challenge of Touring Car Racing rather than continuing the experience with GP2 which was highly disappointing last year. I was fast but the car was absolutely not reliable and I could not really get what I feel I could deserve. The WTCC is the right alternative to become a professional driver, it's a highly competitive racing category and one of the few, together with F1, where so many car manufacturers fight to win the championship. I do believe" Ryan continues "to have taken the best choice, the Accord is very competitive and we look forward for great results". ‘TheGrid’ is sad to report the death of Paul Dana in a morning practice accident at the Homestead IRL meeting last weekend.
